Intimate in-home Maternity Session

This intimate in-home maternity session is close to my heart. Ferris is a beautiful mama inside and out. I was technically on holiday when she reached out to me about maternity photos, but there was something about their story that struck a chord with me and I had to make an exception. That and her husband shares a name with my kiddo—you don’t meet many Calvins. It felt like it was meant to be. Her lovely partner and adorable pets joined us for the session. I’m so glad I said yes.

I met them at their cozy home, just outside of Collingwood, Ontario on a brisk winter day. Ferris was about 34 weeks pregnant at the time and absolutely glowing. They’ve been wanting this for so long and are very lucky to be here. It was an honour to get to document their excitement, being just weeks away from having a baby. Ferris put a record on and we chatted while I snapped photos.

I loved this intimate in-home maternity session so much that I actually asked if I could come back and photograph her again. This time all on film. Below is a collection of my favourites from both sessions.
